Fear What?

Anybody besides me sick of all this fear?

Geez, just when you think we can put a lot of this behind us, another wave of fear comes pounding down. I just got back from Florida and the beach. Big waves can pound you if you don’t stand strong and attack them. Hopefully this post will help you prepare for the waves of fear that keep coming.

We are given the authority and power to stand strong in the waves or we can choose to ride on top of the waves of fear using the Holy Spirit as a boogie or surf board to demonstrate God’s power over the waves of fear.

In Luke 10, Jesus gave us both a pregame and post game speech that should carry us all the way to the Gold, the streets made of Gold that is!

I will give you power, not fear. Jesus promised!

This is one time I prefer the King James over most other versions. The KJV translates Jesus word as power, while most versions choose to translate His word as authority. Either and both get the job done though. They both absolutely deny fear any place in our lives as sons and daughters, heirs, and empowered warriors for our Father the King.

In Luke 10, Jesus chooses a team of Seventy in pairs of two and begins His motivational speech by telling them “The Harvest is Huge”. This sounds like Jesus is talking about an unbeatable opponent.

He tells us even though we will sometimes feel as weak as lambs, all we need is God alone.
The next part of the speech is my favorite. Jesus promises us both power and authority over all powers of the enemy! There is no reason to fear!

His postgame speech is awe inspiring as well. The seventy return declaring how the demons even feared when they used the authority of Jesus name. Jesus first mentions, “While you were ministering, I watched Satan topple until he fell suddenly from heaven like lightning to the ground.”

He then drops the hammer!
“Now you understand that I have imparted to you my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will harm you as you walk in this authority.”‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:19‬ ‭TPT

He then mentions that real joy is knowing our name is in the book of life. He is then overcome by Joy as the Holy Spirit. I love the thought that Jesus is overwhelmed by one thing and that is the Joy of the Holy Spirit. Jesus explains to the 70 how blessed they are to experience the miraculous and to share the miraculous with others.

One of my favorite ways our Father displays his love for us is Suddenly!

Acts 2:2 speaks to the power of Suddenly! Read it for yourself!

Anybody experienced Suddenly? I have and as a result, I live from suddenly to suddenly never in fear of what hides in the shadows in between. I focus on the greatness of what is coming.

The Word says to wait expectantly like a kid waiting to open their presents on Christmas morning for suddenly. When you learn to worship and praise while waiting, suddenly often comes so much sooner! Praise is like a conductor attracting power from above!

Fear not! Power is here, available, and you have the absolute authority to use that power to overcome all fear!
