Donnie Bostwick

I have carried my Sword when I coach since early in the 2013 season. I did so as a result of God calling me to stand and fight for my Pastor David Bush as he was attacked with bone cancer. Through the darkness we raised over $10,000 for a stem cell transplant. Our team miraculously won 17 straight games and on Conference Championship night I received a text from David with the doctor’s report that stated “NED – No Evidence of Disease”. God was not finished as he took our team all the way to the top of the mountain reaching the NAIA Championship that season, where ESPN Honored both God and David. Time and time again God’s Favor has blessed my career.

Profile: Raised in Pryor, Oklahoma the son of a stone mason, Donnie Bostwick has made a remarkable rise in the basketball-coaching world, being part of over 500 victories at the collegiate level to date. Donnie has had uncommon success at every stop in his journey. He is one of the few coaches in America that has competed for championships as a player, head high school coach, assistant college coach, and then taken multiple teams as a head coach to the top of the mountain. The winning percentage and championships speak for themselves. What sets Coach Bostwick apart is his passion for Jesus Christ. He unapologetically shares his faith and uses his coaching success as a platform to bring Glory to the King. God has shown him an overabundance of favor in recruiting and on the floor success. He has used that favor to travel the world declaring Love of Jesus. His wife Sheri and four children are all active in his coaching ministry.

Overall Head Coaching Record at OKWU – 9 th Season (243-49) – .832 winning percentage
Overall Head College Coaching Record – 14 th Season (395-105) – .790 winning percentage

I mentioned the success above as a testament to just a few of the miracles God has performed in my coaching career. I humbly and honestly have to say that without God absolutely none of this would have been possible. I began as a junior high girls’ basketball coach and could return to coaching at that level tomorrow and love it. It was not always like that though, at first I joined the rat race and my focus was completely on how to climb the ladder to the top of the coaching ranks.

This is only the tip of the iceberg of an amazing journey God has taken my family on over the
past 25 years. If you are interested in reading more, go to available books and download
