A Text Conversation With One of Our Cheerleaders
This is a text conversation to one of our cheerleaders after she randomly walked in my office one day and said, “Coach, I just had to come by and meet you. My Spirit just had to come say hello and meet you!”
I was asking God who i was to have come speak at FCA the next day. I knew it was supposed to be on Joy, but did not know who God wanted to speak. As she walked in to my office, God let me know it was her. I asked her if she would speak, she honestly said, “I had a dream that i was speaking this week!” She absolutely was astounding and touched so many lives, including my own with her testimony, passion and joy! A couple days later i sent her this text. I think you will enjoy the conversation:

“One of our Cheerleaders spoke on the power of the Whispers of God! What a word! Samuel heard that whisper in the night! His listening and answering resulted in the anointing of David, which resulted in the birth of a baby named Jesus! The power of a softly spoken voice is game changing. I remember the day my dad said. I am proud of you son. Those words came after years of hard work. Both his hard work as a brick layer providing for me and our family and the hard work by me in school, on the court, beating the odds, overcoming the bullies, and becoming the first person from my family to go to college, first person from my high school to be a successful college basketball player, all that work, sweat and even tears produced a quiet “I am proud of you son”. With the crazy busy buzz of the world today it often becomes impossible to hear a whisper. Our Heavenly Father does not require years of hard work, all he ask is that you seek, knock, ask! JAMES 4:2 You have not, cause you ask not. 7 is God’s number. Those 7 words changed Steve Harvey’s life. They can change yours! Find time to go to the Gate and knock on the door of Heaven and just Wait quietly for once. It may take a little while but your patience, endurance, and even rejoicing prior hearing always results in the WHISPER of God! I promise, you will never be the same after hearing His whisper! Daniel 11:32 Those that Know Me (Seek Me) will Be Strong and Do Great Exploits! Jesus gave it all for the 1 lost Sheep, even though he had 99, the one was everything to Him! If you are that 1, Just ask, knock, Seek Him, it will be the best decision of your life!”
“Wow God is gonna use you. Not sure i have ever seen the Holy Spirit pour out of a willing vessel any more powerfully! You are honestly a young Kim Walker with your own gifts and when you found Christ and chose Him over your previous lifestyle, He made you all New, pulled you right out of his heart and set you on fire. You could have heard a whisper in the entire chapel as He poured out His words from you today. Fact is many heard that whisper for the first time today. God is smiling so big right now. I saw one girl who refuses to worship or look up every chapel, she just plays on her phone in defiance. She paused and looked up. She heard that whisper. Key is the Pureness of the Vessel He wants to use. Pure Joy! James 1:2. God seeks Pure Joy and uses it like never before seen! Turns the Unseen Miracle into the Seen, that’s what they saw today! Pure unrehearsed unleashed, unprideful Joy. They don’t know what to do when they see it. First they say is it for real, is it an act, is it a fake, counterfeit, hiding sin like the rest of us? When the seek more to find out they find Jesus! There is absolutely nothing in this world like the Presence of Jesus walking into a room. When you walked into my office the other day for the first time, i felt it. I felt it the first time i high fived you after a basketball game. You are going to look back on this week some day and remember when God said AP. See my Vision! It’s time to Shine Girl! He is so proud of you, just like He was showed Kim Walker, God was losing it up on the Throne! He was rejoicing undignifiedly! I make up my own words cause English language can’t describe my God!”

why hello there… these are some words I shared w one of your fellow players yesterday, I THINK this applies and I felt God put you in my heart to tell ya something“no words that I say right now might impact you cause it STINKS. You fought so hard and again and again I’m amazed at How God uses you to GLORIFY HIM.But all I have to say is this: in the midst of weird circumstances that look awful and one we might not understand is when we find ..TRUE JOY. Let us rejoice in this very moment. I pray you have the smile that God has given you constantly on your face and when people see you and see your reaction let it make no sense. That the only explanation is.. JESUS.“
“What do I think of when I hear the name Donnie Bostwick? I think of the man that sparked this unrelenting revival at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. No joke. It is amazing to see the submission you have for The LORD. Bc of that Lives and LIVES are being changed , transformed and dedicated for the Kingdom. It was Wednesday’s game when the commentators were talking abt you. They said “Donnie Bostwick, He is a man of faith, coaches w a Bible in His hand, seems to have been working for Him.” They start talking abt your amazing successes and what a blessing you are for OKWU and I couldn’t agree anymore. At that moment I smiled and KNEW you did your job God has chalked you to do. Not necessarily winning a championship but is using that PLATFORM to change LIVES for this GREATER purpose.. GODS TRUE LOVE. I’m all over the place but I want to thank you for changing my life. Keep being this RECKLESS LOVING JOYFUL FIRE BURNING JESUS LOVER. It’s working.”
