A Jesus Mindset
What if you were to take a Jesus mindset into the athletic arena and into everyday life!
Would it make a difference? This is so much more powerful than a mindset. It is a Spirit, a Holy Spirit, that comes straight from the Heart of the Messiah! We are talking Christ, the Anointed One, the Beginning and all the way to the End-zone! Fearless and with a walking on water expectation knowing that all things are possible every time you step on the court or field!
Out of the athletic arena. This would never cross your mind. “What if Jesus was to come back, would I be ready? I better not drink in excess tonight. I better go to church when it is convenient.”
Instead you would be waking up and calling Daddy first thing to see what you were going to do together all day, because you know He never leaves your side and He absolutely loves to give you the desires of your heart. That is a promise. If your heart is completely focused on pleasing Him, GAME OVER!
On the other hand, someone lacking that Jesus mindset, is in that all about me mindset! Got that personal pleasure and shallow desire to consume everything this world has to offer at the expense of family, friends, and whoever else stands in your way. Gotta get yours why you still can. Right?
I know you aren’t that idiot. Are you? Surely not. You aren’t the player who only goes hard when you think coach is watching. Are you? When you feel coach is watching is the only time you are in a stance, going to the boards, getting back on D, or making the extra pass. That is until you have to go to church after getting in late from a game. God don’t care, right? Or should that read, ‘You don’t care’!
I can only imagine what life would be like if you had an “I can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives me strength” mentality. What if you oozed with confidence in God’s promises!
“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.” Ephesians 3:20 TPT
