Best Trade Ever
This past season the Dallas Mavericks trade of Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers caused a massive uproar as the trade seemed as crooked as the Arkansas backroads. As a Thunder fan, I joined the uproar at first thinking the trade might hurt OKC’s chance of capturing a first championship. I love the Team Concept and Defense led by three humble rising superstars proved that bunk!
I can’t stand the Lakers or the Yankees. Both franchises have storied histories of buying championships. In my mind, they annually rob the poor to make the pockets of the rich bigger. Let’s look at history to back by reasoning.
Damon, Clemons, Boggs and the Bambino are just a small portion of my evidence in New York. In LA the water is just as murky.
Kareem, Wilt, and Lebron are three easy examples not to mention Gasol, Anthony Davis, even Kobe for Vlade. Now Luka! When will it stop!
How did the Yankees come up with Babe Ruth? As a Pittsburg Pirate fan I watched the trade of Barry Bonds end my team’s dream of winning another Championship. 1979 and the “We are Family” Pirates seem like an impossibility of Jesus walking on water these days.
The Dallas Mavericks had a 1.8% chance of winning the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery and securing the first overall pick. Despite these low odds, they defied expectations and won the lottery. After the Luka trade what an amazing coincidence that the Mavs would defy the odds to capture the highly desired Cooper Flagg? Can you say “Rigged”!
