Most people spend their entire life chasing success!
So let’s first define success!
Success is generally defined as achieving a specific, predetermined goal or target. Prospering (or prosperity) is broader, implying a state of thriving, flourishing, and having abundance, often in terms of wealth, health, and well-being. In contrast, flourishing is a more holistic, internal state of being, encompassing emotional, physical, and mental well-being, personal growth, and long-term fulfillment.
While success is the achievement of a goal or result, favor acts as an unfair advantage—a divine influence—that makes that success easier, faster, or possible. Favor can bring about success, but success does not always mean one has favor.
If your definition includes fame, fortune, or winning, then you are chasing a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. It is only a mirage, a deception, and a path that ends in failure and ultimately in defeat.
What if your definition of success was simply to please God.
Did you know Success is only found once in the Bible? “Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do [everything] in accordance with the entire law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may prosper and be successful wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.”
Joshua 1:7-8 AMP
By focusing on pleasing God don’t be surprised if you finally find the peace, joy, and love that both fulfills and never fails you. Without Faith it is impossible to please God, so you might want to understand and focus on Faith. Faith is the evidence of things not seen. By Faith all of the heroes of faith reached the Faith Hall of Fame in Hebrews 11. Our mission should be to someday hear the words from God. Well done thy good and faithful servant, Not, well done thy worldly successful, prosperous, and flourishing disciple.
Paul said to live, you must die daily to yourself. 1 Corinthians 15:31, “I die daily” refers to a Christian’s continuous,, daily surrender of self-will, pride, and personal desires to follow Jesus, rather than a one-time act. It is a lifestyle of choosing to put to death the sinful nature, often amidst persecution or self-sacrifice for the gospel.
Fasting usually is connected with eating. I heard yesterday, eating God’s word is fighting the enemy. Sitting in communion with Him and resting in His presence results in God fighting your battles. Thus the greatest fast of all is fasting anything that stops you from your mission, Pleasing God! Sharing the Gospel. Winning souls for the King. Meditation is eating His Body and Drinking His Blood. Jesus said this exact thing in John 6:56-58. “The one who eats my body and drinks my blood lives in me and I live in him. The Father of life sent me, and he is my life. In the same way, the one who feeds upon me, I will become his life. I am not like the bread your ancestors ate and later died. I am the living Bread that comes from heaven. Eat this Bread and you will live forever!””
John 6:56-58 TPT
Fast things that can take you away from your dream, mission, your call.
How to achieve Success, meditate on the word. How to achieve favor. Impossible to earn it. God knows your heart. Seek with all your heart.
Slipping occurs when you start focusing on your future success (reward) instead of Focusing on worshipping Jesus with all your heart right where you are at.
How to reach great success? Meditate on God’s Word, Seek First the King with all your heart! Let your future be in God’s hands, Give your dream to God. Give your future to God.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
Biggest mistake most make is not living in the moment! Kairos moment. They remain focused on the grass on the other side of fence. Most often fearful of failing comes from being focus being on the wrong thing!
Focus on Jesus, pleasing Jesus. worshipping Jesus with all you have. Don’t focus on what others think. Fasting causes you to focus, not on what world thinks, but on pleasing Jesus. I want to be a God pleaser, not anything else.
By focusing on pleasing God don’t be surprised if you finally find the peace, joy, and love that both fulfills and never fails you.
“Within your heart you can make plans for your future, but the Lord chooses the steps you take to get there.”
Proverbs 16:9 TPT
