THE SLC3 COACHING EXPERIENCE
Most of my Coaches tried to separate my faith from the court. Their argument was God does to not care who wins a game. They pointed to the fact that many of your opponents are Christians too. Some of my other coaches simply did not have strong faith and felt the need to motivate with fear repeating how they had been taught. A military boot camp mindset feeling the need to strengthening their athletes by cursing at them and playing mental games, which brings mental toughness. It does work to an extent, but not even close to the extent that love, discipline, and empowering them with the power of the Holy Spirit motivates.
Face it, times have changed. Many athletes come from broken homes and are fatherless. Maybe the method many of us were taught is not the most successful route to motivate or teach today’s athlete. The days of abusing athletes mentally and grabbing them physically are gone. It is time you learn a different approach to coaching.
What if there is a better way to get your athletes mentally tough and disciplined?
A method of combining the spiritual and physical powers of your players to become a more powerful team. This approach is love motivated, which is full of discipline, but focuses on removing fear.
Along with discussing the legal parameters of being a Christian coach in a public or private domain. We will learn strategies of how to let your faith be taught, caught and seen without crossing any legal lines.
Learn How to Apply Your Faith and the Power of the Holy Spirit
within your program:
· How to teach your athletes to tap into Christ promises by using the power of the Holy Spirit for strength, courage, and peace to fight off fear and any other weapon of the enemy. Removing fear and doubt from players.
· How applying Biblical Principles, like Coach John Wooden and Vince Lombardi did years ago, can still bring uncommon success today.
· How some of the most successful coaches in America have used a road less taken to reach unimaginable heights and overcome previously unmovable mountains.
· Take a look at successful Christian coaches from the past as well as some of the top Christian Coaches of today like Dabo Swinney, Tony Bennett, Rick Barnes, Gary Gilmore, Patty Gaso and more!
· How to teach your athletes how playing selflessly, meekly (power under control), and with a servants heart actually makes them stronger and more dangerous. The only true way to elevate is to lower yourself is to elevate Christ and others.
· Show your athletes how to become spiritual leaders and turn their weaknesses into their strengths.
· How to teach a team to rely on the most powerful source of strength available.
· Why being the most physical team on the field or court isn’t a negative, but a demonstration faith and spiritual strength!
