Think of Others
I have been hearing the catch phrase “Think of Others” a lot lately. On the basketball court and in most team sports this makes absolute sense and works amazingly well. The Bulls triangle offense, with the best player of all-time Micheal Jordan, was centered on this theory. Make the extra pass, cut to get someone else a good shot, set a screen and swing the ball early to make the defense work.
This has been the adopted slogan when it comes to wearing mask.
Think of Others! Save Lives!
I am not against wearing mask or social distancing. I have older loved ones and friends who are higher risk, so I am all about “Thinking of Others“!
Most everyone has heard The Golden Rule “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. So why is this rule not the easy solution? Well, it is unless it affects your own selfish desires. Most parents scream “Pass the Ball” up until the moment their child touches the ball. That is when they begin yelling “Shoot the Ball”!
Let’s go real deep real quick on this.
Many of the same people screaming “Wear a mask, Think of Others, and Save Lives“, quickly change their tune and change the channel to another song immediately when it becomes a defenseless baby. “Think of Others” until you are pregnant with an unwanted baby.
If we all truly start thinking of others, the world would be a better place. All I am hearing right now is “GIVE ME THE BALL“!
