Tough Men Follow Jesus

I am always on the look for a tough follower of Jesus. A Bold Man worthy of being welcomed by King Jesus into the only Hall of Fame that matters.

I wrote a blog post a while back mentioning how intriguing it was that the majority of NFL Quarterbacks are on Team Jesus. I noted how usually the QB is one of the most influential leaders on the offensive side of the ball.

For some reason the thought crossred my mind to take a deep dive into the toughest defensive players of all time. Since defense wins championships, what kind of man leads that side of the ball?

To me that starts with the QB on D, the strong or free safety. Those two defining terms speak volumes. Strong and Free! That is a quality of every bold follower of Christ.

I went back to the 80’s, since I grew up in that era. The leader of that pack was Ronnie Lott, and then there was the 90’s led by Leroy Butler. Things only got more beast-mode in the 2000’s with three of the best ever Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, and Brian Dawkins absolutely dominating the game. More of the same in the last two decades as Earl Thomas and Derwin James have led the way.

Matter of fact the top 15 safeties of each decade since 1980 have one major thing in common. Every single one are heat seeking missiles for Jesus. Outspoken warriors for the King!

!

If some of the toughest men of all-time are tapping into a supernatural power, then why would you even try to conquer anything on your own!  You can also throw the best linebacker ever Ray Lewis into this conversation! Don’t stop there add the best Defensive Linemen ever, “The Minister of Defense” Reggie White.

Wake up men! Research these men on your Own!

The strongest men love Jesus! They win Superbowls too!
