Bring Your Glove

Bring Your Glove

Opening Day in Major League Baseball is tomorrow, April 1st. Fantasy baseball drafts are done and everyone has high hopes of their favorite MLB team winning a title this season.

I have been in a fantasy baseball league called The Moosepath with a bunch of my high school buddies and old friends for over twenty years. My team, the Golden Guns, I named after my oldest son Gunter when he was only a baby. You would think a million dollars was riding on winning the league. We even have a minor league prospect draft. There is something about winning that deep down inside drives us as human beings!

On April Fools Day, the only fool is the person who fails to take their glove to the ballpark. I am sure that comment caused a few of you to roll your eyes. What are the actual odds of catching a ball while at a Major League Baseball game anyways? Those odds have to be astronomical. Yet the only way for that impossible dream to come true is if you have the faith to bring a glove. Sure you could catch it barehand, but why increase the already long odds. I went to Royals game a few years back with that thought process until a screaming line drive came my way and everyone was scrambling trying not to get their head taken off.

The secret to seeing a miracle come true is high expectation no matter the odds or at least displaying the faith to bring a glove. If you were in a drought, it would be to bring an umbrella. If you want to be a millionaire, you just might have to have the faith to start with a snow cone stand!

You can’t win a title unless you win the moment! How do you do that? You bring a glove! If you want impossible dreams to come true in your life, then wake up and win the day! Do that daily, expecting miracles to happen, and don’t be surprised if the miraculous becomes the norm in your life.

Only one way to find out. Bring Your Glove!
