Holy “Passion” Week – The Final Chapter – 1 more 3
As we reach the end of Holy “Passion” Week, Jesus has 1 more 3 to hit! I use the word hit, because this 3 came with a knockout punch so powerful that it delivered the greatest victory of all-time. The shot that defeated death, hell, and the grave!
What looked like a comeback, was actually a hustle, a game plan written by God Himself. One might say a more profound heavenly version of “White Men Can’t Jump” or “Uncle Drew”.
It appears that satan and his demons were winning the contest easily as the proclaimed King of the Jews is ridiculed, beaten, and nailed to a cross for the world to see. In today’s language, Jesus was being posterized and had ended up on SportsCenter on the wrong end of a crossover and a powerful dunk.
What the world, including His teammates the disciples, could not see was the most powerful display of power ever reckoned on an opponent. Championships are won on the road and Jesus was more than enough to bring home this victory. After the cross, Jesus laced up His shoes tightly!
On that Friday, The Savior of the World, The Great I AM, The Lamb turned Lion of Judah walked into the enemies home court, known as Sheol or Hades, and brought a level of havoc that has not been seen before or since!
For three days, Jesus unleashed Power from above ultimately ending the Game! So much Power that even today the demons tremble at the sound of HIS NAME!
On Championship Sunday, the One and Only true GOAT, “Greatest Of All Time”, arose from the Grave! You can read about The Resurrection in all four Gospels, including my favorite rendition in John chapter 20.
The Risen King had pulled off the greatest setup of all time fulfilling every Old Testament prophesy to the Final Letter and detail on His way to Victory. Satan lost once again and this time for good as Jesus became The Way, The Truth, and The Light to everyone including and especially the least, the last, and the lost!
All you have to do on this Championship Resurrection Sunday is choose to believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God! Ask the One True God to forgive your sins that He willingly paid for on that Cross. Jesus blood was and is enough then and today!
Join His Team and receive His free gift of eternity with Him in Heaven. In John 14:3 Jesus declares that promise! He has prepared a mansion just for you. You just have to choose!
Today we celebrate Jesus for taking that 1 last 3!
