A DAY TO SHOUT, TO RAISE A NOISE, A WAKE-UP CALL

God led me to host Freedom Fire 2020 on the day that goes back 1500 years in recorded history as Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets.  It is also known as Yom Teruah “The Day of Shouting”.

The Hebrew Bible calls on us to “Raise a Noise” on Yom Teruah. One of the rituals of this day is the blowing of the Shofar, which is a “Wake-up Call” remind us to wake up, repent and tell the world about the One True God and about His Son Jesus the Savior of the World!

It has long been a special day for God’s People. It is also called the Feast of Trumpets. On this day ritual trumpet blasts signify the issuance of revelation and a call for Israel to gather for God’s word of redemption. Set at the time of Israel’s final agricultural harvest, the day also symbolizes the Lord’s final harvest of souls.

In our Western culture, there are no holidays instituted by God. But Israel has at least these seven feasts designed and ordained by the Almighty, and they have been observed annually for some 1,500 years.

These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. (Leviticus 23:4)

On the first day of the seventh month, which occurs this month on September 19th, trumpets would be blown, and the Feast of Trumpets would occur:

And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. (Leviticus 23:23)

Rosh Hashanah, is the beginning of the Days of Awe, the ten days leading up to the Day of Atonement.

To the believer in our Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Feast of Trumpets has great prophetic significance. We are told in I Thessalonians 4:16, 17:

The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

I am not predicting that our Savior and King Jesus will return on September 19, 2020, but I am bringing attention to and giving a reminder of the truth that some day soon, the Bible says, there will be a shout that comes from Heaven. Until that day, The Feast of Trumpets is a day to refocus our praise and attention on Jesus. We should be living with expectant anticipation of that day.

The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah, New Year), then, both looks back to the ancient days of Israel’s past, and looks ahead to our Redeemer’s return. The blowing of the trumpet signifies the Rapture of the Church (composed of believing Jews and Gentiles of this age) to its home in Heaven, and the calling of Israel back to its home in the Promised Land. Let the trumpet blow!

This event is known as the Rapture, the catching up. It is the time when the Lord will come for His own, when Jesus will descend through the stratosphere and take those of us who have trusted in Him to be with Himself. It is imminent, it can happen at any moment; it can happen today, it can happen ten years from now. We do not know when it will be, but it could happen at any time. And so, the prophecy of the Feast of Trumpets will be fulfilled in the Rapture of the Church. It has not yet been fulfilled. We are still in the period between Pentecost and Trumpets in God’s prophetic calendar.

On September 19, 2020, we will be offering up a shout, a joyful noise, letting the King know that we are awake and can’t wait to be called up to be with Him in Glory. We will offer a sacrifice of praise and we believe HE will send His Fire in the Person of the Holy Spirit to set us free of any spirit of fear, anxiety, panic, depression, or an evil issue or addiction that has tried to attack us in 2020 to date. Our God is great and tells us not to fear. He has given us Kingdom authority to fight with all our Kingdom’s Power standing with us..

I hope to see you September 19th at Freedom Fire 2020. I believe God is going to show up and show off His Mighty Power. www.freedomfire2020.com
