WITH GOD…

Giants fall

“Not one promise from God is empty of power. Nothing is impossible WITH GOD!” Luke 1:37 TPT

In this verse, Luke shares with you an immensely powerful promise from God. Do you have the faith to believe it?

In my recent post “Real Power” and “Wake Up”, I shared with you about the supernatural power God has placed inside of you as well as the access you have to this power! Why would you go anywhere or attempt anything of value without God?

We were born to demonstrate what God made us to do with the power He has placed in us, not by our own strength, but through the power of the Holy Spirit. “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit” says God Himself.

May Yahweh give you every desire of your heart and carry out your every plan as you go to battle.” Psalms 20:4 TPT.

Take a minute and read Psalms 18 where David tells us what he was capable of WITH GOD! Example verse 29, “WITH GOD I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.” City walls back then were estimated to be 20’ tall!

WITH GOD – GIANTS FALL!

Most people know the story of David as a youth taking out the giant named Goliath. Goliath was 6 cubits tall with 6 fingers and 6 toes. Yes, this 6-6-6 is a precursor of the antichrist. You don’t kill giants without God!

The Bible mentions giants multiple times calling them Nephilim, Anakim, and Rephaim. The giants were the offspring of fallen angels and Goliath was not the only giant that God helped men kill in the Bible.

The first mention of giants in the Bible is the Nephilim in Genesis 6:1-4. Nephilim have often been considered giants because of the description of the giants in the land as those who come from the Nephilim in Numbers 13:32-33. Some think Nephilim comes from the Aramaic word naphiyla for giant.

In spite of the flood, giants eventually made a comeback and dwelt in the land of Canaan. Nephilim and Anakim are mentioned again in the Land of Canaan. Numbers 13:32-33 says, “The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people that we saw in it are of great height. And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them.”

Moses confirms the spies’ account in Deuteronomy 9:1-2, where he says that Israel would cross the Jordan to “dispossess nations greater and mightier than you, cities great and fortified up to heaven, a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you have heard it said, ‘Who can stand before the sons of Anak?’”

Joshua and Caleb devoured these giants, only leaving them in Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod (Joshua 11:21-22). 1 Samuel 17:4 says that Goliath was from Gath, leading us to conclude he was a descendant of Anak. Caleb is said to have driven out the Anakim from Hebron (Joshua 14:12; 15:14; Judges 1:20), a city that was formerly called Kiriath-Arba, named after Arba, who “was the greatest giant among the Anakim” (Joshua 14:15; Judges 1:10).

After a glimpse of the best of the promised land, God promised Caleb that Hebron would be his. The high ground, the hill country! He who holds the high ground holds the advantage! Was there more to the story?

Actually, there is, Hebron means friendship or alliance. How noncoincidental is it that Hebron was the home of Abraham? The same Abraham who is the father of our faith. Giants took Hebron and tried to break the alliance with God. Giants changed the name of Hebron to Kirjath-Arba. When are people going to figure out that you can change a name or how you identify, but it does not change what God created something to be or one of His promises! Romans chapter 4 shares God’s promises to Abraham. The chapter says those promises are for you today as well. I challenge you to read that chapter as well.

Let’s don’t stop there, how about another interesting side note about Hebron? It is also not coincidental that Hebron was David’s Royal Home when he became King of Judah! David lived there 7 years and was declared King of Isreal there.

So, Hebron is a place that God, through His Mighty Warriors, reclaimed and placed His Kingdom back on top!

Do you think God could be looking for mighty warriors today that will form an alliance with Him to retake America?

Is it time for American to REPENT? What does Pent mean?

It means THE TOP. (Pentacle, Penthouse) Repent means BACK ON TOP.

The only way back on top and the only way to Heaven is through Repentance!

Because of the weak faith of the ten no name spies, Caleb had to wait 45 years to take his mountain. However, because of his faith, Caleb got to enjoy a little special gift from God during that time. God kept Caleb young and strong! At 85, Caleb was no Joe Biden. He was a God made, God equipped Giant killer. Read the account of Caleb coming to Joshua at age 85 with one of my favorite quotes in the Bible,

“Give me this mountain!”

Joshua 14:6–13 (KJV 1900) — 6 Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the Lord said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadesh-barnea. 7 Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh-barnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart. 8 Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the Lord my God. 9 And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the Lord my God. 10 And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. 11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. 12 Now therefore give me this (God and My) mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims (giants)were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said. 13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.

Here is a list of giant killers in the Bible. God, God, God, God, God!

Here is a list of the men that the Bible mentions that WITH GOD killed giants.

David (1 Samuel 17), Caleb & Joshua (Joshua 10:36), Beniah (1 Chronicles 11:23), Abishai (2 Samuel 21:17), Sebbecai (2 Samuel 21:18). The reason I believe David is known as the giant killer by most people is because David life points to Jesus. How? Because David is Jesus great great great Grampa!

For those of you that want to learn a little bit more about the giants in the Bible. Here you go.

Moses had to deal with a giant while in the in the wilderness, Og of Bashan. As Israel went up the way to Bashan, King Og came out against them for battle. Yahweh gave Og into Israel’s hand, and they “devoted” Og’s people to destruction, leaving no survivors, just as they had done to Sihon king of the Amorites (Deuteronomy 3:6).  This victory is celebrated in Psalm 135:11 and 136:20.  We are told that both Og and Sihon were considered Amorite kings (Deuteronomy 3:8). Then we read this fascinating verse:

For only Og the king of Bashan was left of the remnant of the Rephaim. Behold, his bed was a bed of iron. Is it not in Rabbah of the Ammonites? Nine cubits was its length, and four cubits its breadth, according to the common cubit (Deuteronomy 3:11). Seeing that a cubit was about 18 inches, Og’s bed was about 13 feet 6 inches long.

This suggests he was a giant. On top of this, Og is said to be the last remnant of the Rephaim. Both Joshua 12:4 and 13:12 also say Og was of the remnant of the Rephaim, which the LXX interestingly translates as “giants”.

Who were the Rephaim? They were likely the descendants of a giant named Rapha. Rapha is mentioned six times in the Bible (2 Samuel 21:16, 18, 20, 22; 1 Chronicles 20:6, 8), in contrast to the more common plural Rephaim. Though some translations like the ESV take this as “giants”.

Deuteronomy 2 provides some interesting information about the Rephaim. It says the Rephaim were as “tall as the Anakim,” but were mostly wiped out by Yahweh (Deuteronomy 2:21). The Ammonites called the Rephaim by the name “Zamzummim” (Deuteronomy 2:20). Deuteronomy 2:10-11 says that the “Emim” were also as “tall as the Anakim,” but then it says that both the Anakim and Emim “are also counted as Rephaim.” This is important, as it links the Anakim with the Rephaim. While Og was one of the last of the Rephaim, there were still Rephaim in the land, namely the Anakim and the “descendants of Rapha” in 2 Samuel 21:16, 18, 20, 22. Og’s destruction is told in Psalms 135:11 and 136:20 as one of many great victories for the nation of Israel, and the Book of Amos 2:9 may refer to Og as “the Amorite” whose height was like the height of the cedars and whose strength was like that of the oaks.

How cool is it that Giants don’t stand a chance when you are WITH GOD!
