Wonderful
After realizing I had a free trial of Amazon Prime for 13 more days, since I joined Prime to ship packages for free at Christmas, I decided to watch a movie and take advantage of Prime Movie. I wonder what movie jumped off the screen at me as one of the top family movies to watch. Well golly geez what are the odds it was the movie “Wonder”!
My sweetheart and I just finished watching this wonderful movie. It caused us both to taste numerous tears. You know when that tear rolls down your faces and lands on your lips. Something amazingly wonderful about the taste of a tear drop. Another weird joy I indulge is cleaning my eyes with fresh tears. My lovely wife, who is wonderful both inside and out, says, “Why can’t they make good movies like this anymore without cursing and nudity.” Something I would expect to hear from the angel God made just for me.
What are the odds that the movie “Wonder” would jump off the screen at me today on the brink of my last two blog post, Wonderwall and Wonderland? I say this more and more, I love God’s sense of humor, only He could make me smile and cry both while experiencing wonderful joy!
I won’t ruin the movie for you as I hope this encourages you to take the time to watch Auggy demonstrate in a very special way what wonder truly looks, sounds, and acts like. There are so many lines in the movie that I would love to add to my post, but I am going to make you hear them by watching the movie.
If you have been following my SLC post for any amount of time, you know I tend to do things in 3’s. It is definitely my favorite number. So for now, this will be my third and final post on Wonder. Since it is the number of resurrection, don’t be surprised though, if wonder shows up again once or twice on 2020. Actually,I believe you can count on it.
I will leave you with this thought to dwell on. What was the first name Jesus was referred by in the Bible? You got it – Wonderful! In Joshua 9:6, the Israelites have found themselves in a very difficult and hopeless position and Joshua feels led to bringing them hope and strength by prophesying about the coming Messiah! It is so interesting to me, that Joshua chooses to lead off his powerful list of Jesus names with Wonderful!
