Words of Wisdom

My college basketball coach asked us one thing in our team huddle occasionally that still sticks out to me today.

Anybody have any “Words of Wisdom”?

If nobody responded, then sometimes he would look at someone and say, “How bout you Bostwick? You gonna share anything before you graduate?”

Well, it just so happened in chapel that day the speaker had a message in which he said, “Never, Never, Never, Never, Never Give Up”. When he called on me, to share some “Words of Wisdom”, my somewhat  dyslexic in nature mind did what it always did and I responded. “Always, Always, Always, Always, Always”.

It was about my fourth “Always” that I realized I had screwed up again. My teammates had already figured it out. It just so happened we had lost the night before so our coach was not in a mood for anything funny. Being the genius that I am, I made the smooth adjustment. “Always, Always, Do Your Best!”

I thought it was a buzzer beater shot, my teammates lost it, and for once I think I might have even caused my coach, whose hero was Bobby Knight, to crack a smile.

I probably paid for that with a few pushups later that practice, but those “Words of Wisdom” were worth it.

Here are a few “Words of Wisdom” from some real genuine geniuses!

Smith Wigglesworth

  • There are boundless possibilities in us if we dare to believe God!

Kathryn Kuhlman

  • The only limit to the Power of God lies within the Individual
  • It is when active faith dares to believe God to the point of action, that something has to happen!

Corrie Ten Boom

  • “THE WONDERFUL THING ABOUT PRAYING IS THAT YOU LEAVE A WORLD OF NOT BEING ABLE TO DO SOMETHING, AND ENTER GOD’S REALM WHERE EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE. HE SPECIALIZES IN THE IMPOSSIBLE. NOTHING IS TOO GREAT FOR HIS ALMIGHTY POWER. NOTHING IS TOO SMALL FOR HIS LOVE.”

Last but not least some “Words of Wisdom” from TL Osborne. I suggest you read these words aloud over your life! I would do so Daily!

  • God has given me a power that I alone control. It is my right of choice. It is my ability to decide how much I want out of life. How High I want to Climb. How rich I want to be. How long I want to live. How much power I want to have. And what Goals I want to Reach!
  • I set my targets and I achieve my goals, because I choose to win, because I have decided that God and me can’t lose when we are in Unity together.
  • I recognize that God is at work in me. I can’t afford to ignore Him! I have chosen and I have decided to get life’s best, because I am God’s best. He created me in His likeness. First class all the way!
  • I am the nobility of Jesus Christ on this earth to display His Kingdom and Authority.
  • His mastership is in me. The only person that can limit me is me, because I make my own decisions.
  • I choose life, success, happiness, and prosperity. I have decided to live life to its fullness!
  • I have decided to say yes to Gods best, because that alone Glorifies Him, that alone fulfills my life, and that alone makes my life a display of His Glory!
  • Christianity is a miracle way of life. Without miracles it is only a philosophy. So let me become a walking miracle! No Miracles, No Jesus.
  • Jesus was in a Jew, Now He is in me too!
  • If they ever see Jesus, they will never be the same again. So Show them Jesus!
  • Discover The reason I was created and why I am alive! Miracles will take place when I believe and choose to do just that!
  • What I have everybody wants! They are hungry for who lives in me. They will be in Awe of what He does in and through Me!
  • Hope will be restored in people when they see and meet me! Through Christ in Me, I am their answer! It is Jesus alive in Me!
  • Jesus came to show me how to win. What to do and to show us the will of the father! He made me to do the same!
  • So I will Always, Always, Always, Always do just that! I am an original made special by my maker. Both a Prodigy and a Protege. (I added this line as I’m sure you figured out by now😎)
